Alcove Pavers

Tony's House Projects

Story
After
Before
We have a small alcove area off our master bedroom that almost has 4 enclosing walls, but no roof. This alcove space has mostly been unused for as long as we have lived in the house. The round pavers and the stone under layer is what we inherited and we were not a fan of it. Since we did not use the area, it was a low priority to put any effort into this, but we finally got around to it during the COVID year.
Another driver in doing this project was my thinking about turning this area into a greehouse of sorts. If I did that, I would need a better floor than what was currently there. It was only a few months after this project that I finally turned that idea into a reality. See the Alcove Greenhouse Page for more about that project.
